CILB Approved for 8 Hours of Continuing Education Based on the new EPA ruling, beginning in April 2010, contractors performing renovation, repair and painting
projects that disturb lead-based paint in homes, child care facilities, schools or any buildings where children
gather, built before 1978 must:
- Be EPA certified
- Follow specific work practices to prevent lead contamination
- Fines for non-Compliance…..$32,500
This one day course has been approved for purposes of certification under
Section 402 of TSCA for the Certified Renovator.
Practical > Hands on Training (Student will receive a starter kit worth $95.00)
- A practical application successfully completing 11 Practical Skill Sets, where students learn via hands-on practice.
Certification Examination > Class room Instruction
- A complete Examination review, so Students will be prepared to take a 50 question multiple choice exam.
- After successfully passing with a minimum passing score of 70%, a student will become a Certified Renovator which
will be good for 5 years.
